The Seven Simple Steps

PowerBatt Plus Logo

Step One

Adjust the electrolyte level so that it covers the electrode plates, (if necessary remove some electrolyte or top up with distilled water) - discharge the battery to approximately 50% of its capacity.

Step Two

Fill each cell inject 60ml of PowerBatt Plus per 100 Ah per battery cell.
For example, a 350 Ah battery will require, one dose of [350 / 100 x 60] = 210 ml per cell (fill in 3 stages 3x70 ml leaving 15 minutes between stages).

Step Three

Leave for circa 30-40 minutes to allow the chemical process to slow and the battery to cool down.

Step Four *

Charge the battery with a current of 8 - 10% of the battery's capacity untill the battery starts to gas.
For example, a battery with a capacity of 350Ah will be charged at a current of 35A.

Step Five

Rest the battery for circa 30-40 minutes.

Step Six *

Charge with a current of approximately 1.5 - 2% of the battery's capacity for between 70 & 80 hours.
For example, a battery with a cappacity of 350 Ah will be charged at a current of 7A. During this time discharge the battery 3 - 5 times for 2 - 5 minutes at a rate of 10 - 30% of its capacity.

Step Seven *

Discharge the battery to approximately 50% of its capacity and then charge with your standard charger (or charger suplied with the batteries)

*The battery temperature must not exceed 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) when charged.
