Company History

The building blocks of the future

Worktown was established in 1979. Starting out as a Property Development company, It's Chairman, John Dickson, an entrepreneur who resides in Switzerland, has developed the company to become the successful business it now is.

In the 1980's Worktown moved into the Office Supplies business, and in the 1990's had the vision to become the first UK stockless dealer. Moving into a partnership with the largest wholesaler in the UK, Worktown increased it stock offerings to over 30,000 products whilst creating cost savings and reducing their carbon footprint. In 2000 Worktown added an Office Refurbishment sector to it's business, and in this capacity has worked with Schools and Business, including Aviva and Norwich Union. In March 2008 Worktown successfully acheived ISO 14001 accreditation.

All our company vehicles are run on either LPG or Hybrid technology, and staff are educated and encouraged to extend their environmental responsibility to their life outside of the office as well as within.

In addition, John Dickson, having a keen interest in Environmental Issues, secured the exclusive rights to distribute the Electroflow product within 11 Countries across Europe. This then led to a company restructure, where Worktown Future Energy was born.

In 2009 the company has added further cutting edge products from the clean energy sector to it's portfolio, and is continuing to build strong relationships with industry and technology providers, to help create a cleaner sustainable environment for our future world.
